Children and adults alike dream of playing basketball alongside NBA players like the Indiana Pacers’ Paul George. And now they can – in virtual reality.

Last week, 2K introduced NBA 2KVR Experience, an immersive virtual reality game that allows players to join George in Bankers Life Fieldhouse and participate in mini-skills games like a 3-point shooting contest, a speed and accuracy challenge and the buzzer beater countdown. Players can earn Gatorade fuel boosts that will help their shooting, speed and recovery.

In the game, George will provide commentary and give feedback to the player to help improve their skills.

“As a lifelong fan of NBA 2K, it’s exciting to see them take the leap into VR, and even more exciting that it’ll be on my home court,” George, who is on the cover of NBA 2K17, said in a statement. “I can’t wait for fans to dominate on the virtual court with virtual help from Gatorade.”

On screen, users will see a set of hands and the ball from what would be the player’s point of view if they were actually on the court.

NBA 2KVR was launched Nov. 22 and can be purchased for $14.99 on the HTC Vive, PlayStation VR and Samsung Gear VR, and will later be available for Oculus Rift worldwide. The game is rated E-10+.
