The Dodgers are probably the most likely landing spot for free-agent relief pitcher Eric Gagne, with the Rockies also a possibility. Gagne won a Cy Young award as the dominant closer for the Dodgers in 2003 with 55 saves and a 1.20 ERA.
He has not pitched in the major leagues since 2008, spending last season in his native Canada with the Quebec Capitals in the independent Can-Am League.
The Rockies are also a possibility. Manager Jim Tracy remains close with Gagne from their days together in Los Angeles and team officials watched the 34-year-old Gagne throw on Tuesday.
