Red Sox closer Koji Uehara ruled out again, return uncertain
Uehara has said he doesn't think the problem is a serious one.
Farrell said there's a chance Uehara would return to Boston for an exam. Farrell said it's too early to predict whether the right-hander would need to go on the disabled list.
Uehara will try to follow his normal pregame routine on Sunday by throwing at a distance of 200 feet.
The 39-year-old Uehara starred last season as Boston won the World Series title. He has not allowed a run in five games this year, recording two saves while pitching five innings.
