Gordon Beckham and John Jaso hit leadoff homers, Hawk Harrelson reacts predictably

I am not a White Sox fan, but I am a noted Hawk Harrelson apologist. Sure, he's the world's foremost homer, but 99 percent of his audience is White Sox fans, so who cares? If you take some time to actually listen to him, you'll see that he always gives credit where it's due, both to the opposing team and the umpires, and that he has some of the best stories of any former player in the broadcast booth. Those two wonderful sides of Hawk were on full display in the first inning of the White Sox' series finale with the Athletics on Wednesday.

To start (literally), Chicago second baseman Gordon Beckham led off the top of the first with a home run off Tommy Milone on the very first pitch of the game, and Hawk reacts as only he can:

In the bottom of the first, A's catcher John Jaso answered with a leadoff shot against Andre Rienzo. Again, Hawk reacts in true Hawk fashion:
