X-rays on Yasiel Puig's hand come back negative, according to report

Sunday July 20th, 2014

X-rays on Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig's left hand came back negative on Saturday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles News Group tweeted after their 4-2 loss to the Cardinals

The 23-year-old All-Star left the game in the eighth inning, five innings after he was hit on the hand during a pitch from Joe Kelly. Matt Kemp stepped in and pinch hit for Puig in the eighth.

It's not immediately clear whether Puig will be ready to play for Sunday's series finale in St. Louis. The Dodgers travel to Pittsburgh on Monday to begin a series with the Pirates that night.
