MIAMI (AP) Texas Rangers right fielder Alex Rios has been scratched from the starting lineup against the Miami Marlins because of a bruised right thumb.

Rios is hitting .284 with four home runs and 49 RBIs. He was replaced in Tuesday night's lineup by Jim Adduci about an hour before gametime.
