San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy has given third baseman Pablo Sandoval the day off, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The veteran has not missed a game since July 7 in Oakland.

“He’s a little worn down,” Bochy told reporters. “We’ll see if we can freshen him up. It’s evident when you watch him. He’s pretty beat up.”
