NEW YORK (AP) Atlanta Braves outfielder Justin Black has been suspended for 50 games for a positive test for amphetamines under baseball's minor league drug program.
Black, 21, is with the rookie-level Danville Braves of the Appalachian League. He was selected by the Braves in the fourth round of the 2012 draft.
Black is hitting .262 with two homers and 16 RBIs in 145 at-bats for Danville this year.
The suspension, announced Monday, is the 54th this year under the minor league program.
