Report: Masahiro Tanaka to start again for Yankees
Girardi says Tanaka was "all smiles today," showed no ill effects from his last start. On track for saturday.— Daniel Barbarisi (@DanBarbarisi) September 22, 2014
Tanaka was sidelined earlier this year after he suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. While he avoided Tommy John surgery, he was expected to miss six weeks.
He took the mound on Sunday against the Blue Jays and threw 5 1/3 innings while allowing one run and striking out four batters on 70 pitches.
