Report: Giants' Bruce Bochy, Brian Sabean to sign 3-year extensions

San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy and general manager Brian Sabean will sign three-year contract extensions that will keep them with the team through the 2019 season, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

USA Today’s Bob Nightengalereported Thursday that the two sides were close to reaching deals.

Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area reported that the Giants have discussed promoting Sabean to president of baseball operations and promoting assistant general manager Bobby Evans to general manager.

Sabean and Bochy are coming off their third World Series win in the last five seasons. Based on some of the other contracts signed during the offseason, the pair could be in for significant raises.

Recently,Dodgers president Andrew Friedman signed a five-year, $35 million deal, and the Cubssigned manager Joe Maddon to a five-year, $25 million contract.
