Chicago Cubs outfielder Dexter Fowler left Wednesday night's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates with right groin tightness. Fowler is listed as day-to-day by the Cubs.

Fowler reached on a bunt single to third in the top of the first. He played in centerfield for the first two innings, but was pulled from the game before his at-bat in the third. Chris Denorfia pitch hit for the outfielder and doubled.

In 13 games this season, Fowler is batting .246 with four RBIs and a home run. Fowler was traded to the Cubs in January for infielder Luis Valbuena and pitcher Dan Straily.

The Cubs trail the Pirates 3-1 in the fifth.
