MIAMI (AP) Atlanta Braves third baseman Rich Gosselin left his team's game at Miami in the fourth inning Sunday with a sprained left thumb, but he said he doesn't believe the injury is serious.

Gosselin exited after he made a diving backhanded stop to rob Adeiny Hechavarria of a hit in the third. He'll be further examined Monday.

''I think I'll be OK,'' Gosselin said. ''I'm pretty positive about it until I hear otherwise.''

Gosselin is batting .325 in 20 games and went 1 for 2 in Sunday's 6-0 win.
