LEADING OFF: Marlins new manager, Harvey vs Cards

A look at what's happening all around the major leagues today:

---

NEW SKIPPER

The Marlins are going to introduce their new manager a day after firing Mike Redmond. Miami dropped to 16-22 Sunday, falling an out shy of being no-hit by Atlanta. Following the game, Redmond was let go in his third season.

HARVEY'S SHUTOUT

Mets ace Matt Harvey pitches at Citi Field, trying to beat St. Louis for the first time in his career. He's 0-2 in two starts vs. the Cardinals - they're the only team he's lost to twice in the majors.

DIRECTIONS, PLEASE

The Milwaukee Brewers might need a map app for their series opener in Detroit. They haven't played in Motown since 2009, which was the previous time these former AL rivals met. The Brewers last beat the Tigers in 2007, with Ben Sheets getting the win.

MINOR DEBUT

Cuban infielder Yoan Moncado is set to play in his first minor league game, a couple of months after signing a $31.5 million contract - a record for an amateur free agent - with the Red Sox, according to Boston media reports. He will make his debut for Class A Greenville.

EYES ON HAMELS

Philadelphia left-hander Cole Hamels, one of the most-scrutinized pitchers as the July 31 deadline approaches, looks to win his third straight start when the Phillies travel to Colorado.
