Report: MLB denies that Orioles will play 2015 exhibition in Cuba
MLB said the Baltimore Orioles and the league have no plans to play an exhibition game in Cuba in 2015, according to Baseball America's Ben Badler.
Earlier Tuesday, the president of the National Institute of Sport, Physical Education, and Recreation in Cuba, Antonio Becali, said that the Orioles would play an exhibition in Cuba this year, according to Badler. Becali said Baltimore would play the Cuban national team, with no date set yet.
Last month, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said he hopes the league can play some spring training games in Cuba in 2016.
The Orioles and Boston Red Sox reportedly explored the possibility of playing an exhibition game in Cuba earlier this spring, but did not end up doing so. The Orioles played Cuba's national team in an exhibition in Cuba in 1999.

Last November, a group of MLB players traveled to Japan to play a five-game series against Japan's national team in what was called "All-Star Series 2014."
