Miami Marlins pitcher Mat Latos was reinstated from the disabled list on Friday and will start against the Colorado Rockies on Saturday.

Latos has not pitched since going on the disabled list on May 23. On May 16, he was hit on his left shin by a line drive and left his start early.

The 27-year-old pitched again on May 21 before going on the DL with left knee inflammation.

In nine starts this season, Latos is 1–4 with a 6.12 ERA and 1.594 WHIP. He has struck out 36 batters in 42 2/3 innings and walked 16.

The Marlins also recalled pitcher Steve Cishek from Double A on Friday. Right-handed pitchers Kendry Flores and Andre Rienzo were optioned to Triple A to make room for Latos and Cishek.

Miami is 26–36 entering Saturday and in fourth place in the NL East.
