Boston Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval is not a good high ball hitter, but that didn't stop him from grounding out on a pitch thrown over his head in the second inning of Monday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. .

Blue Jays pitcher R.A. Dickey floated a pitch well above the strike zone but Sandoval took a hack at it anyway and chopped it up the middle. Jose Reyes collected it and threw Sandoval out at first base for the second out of the inning.

Josh Hamilton expects to be activated from DL on Tuesday

Sandoval redeemed himself in the bottom half of the inning, though, by hustling to chase down Russell Martin and tag him out between third and home.
