The Boston Red Sox will sign right-handed relief pitcher Ronald Belisario, reports Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

The Tampa Bay Raysdesignated Belisario for assignment in June after he posted a 7.88 ERA in eight innings with the team this season.

The 32-year-old also had previous stints with the Chicago White Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In 339 1/3 innings over five-plus seasons, Belisario has posted a 3.85 ERA with 273 strikeouts and 127 walks.

Boston, which currently ranks 23rd in the league in bullpen ERA, sits in fourth place in the American League East with a 42-47 record.
