Faulty circuit breaker blamed for outage at Nationals Park

WASHINGTON (AP) The Nationals say a faulty circuit breaker caused the power failure that led to the suspension of Friday night's game between Washington and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The game was delayed three times when a bank of lights on the third-base side went out. It was finally suspended after five innings with the Nationals leading 3-2.

The team said in a statement Saturday morning that the circuit breaker was replaced shortly after midnight and the lights were tested throughout the night with no additional outages.

The Nationals add that ''while we believe we have identified and corrected the issue, additional tests are being conducted by the manufacturer of the field lighting system.''

The game is scheduled to resume Saturday at 2:05 p.m. EDT.
