Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner was in the emergency room on Tuesday with a right leg infection, reportsThe Orange County Register’s Pedro Moura.

Turner reported feeling a pimple on the leg while in New York on Sunday for the weekend finale with the Mets. He was pulled for a pinch runner in the ninth inning of the Dodgers’ 3–2, 10-inning loss.

The Dodgers expected the pimple to heal while the team was off on Monday and allow Turner to play Tuesday night against the Oakland Athletics in Los Angeles. But the Dodgers’ medical staff determined the ailment had worsened and sent Turner to the ER.
