Mets activate catcher Travis d'Arnaud from disabled list
The New York Mets have activated catcher Travis d'Arnaud from the disabled list, according to ESPN.
To make room for d'Arnaud on the roster, catcher Anthony Recker was optioned to Triple A.
D'Arnaud was placed on the 15-day DL on June 23 with a sprained left elbow. The 26-year-old has been limited to 19 games this season after sitting out time earlier in the year due to a fractured finger.
“I feel great,” d'Arnaud told reporters. “Just happy to be playing again and be up here with this great group of gentlemen.”

Mets manager Terry Collins said d'Arnaud won't be playing four days in a row at this time and will get sporadic days off.
In 19 games, d'Arnaud is batting .296 with four home runs and 17 RBIs.
The Mets (52–50) host the Washington Nationals on Friday.
