BALTIMORE (AP) Mets third baseman David Wright is expected to be activated from the disabled list next week after missing four months with a back injury.

New York manager Terry Collins said Wednesday that Wright will rejoin the team during its four-game series in Philadelphia that beings Monday.

Wright has been sidelined since April 14 with spinal stenosis. He was 11 for 33 before the injury.

When the 32-year-old Wright returns, it might be a while before he gets regular playing time.

Collins says, ''He won't be the everyday guy until we know his back is 100 percent and that might not be until next spring.''

In his five rehabilitation games with Class A St. Lucie, Wright is 4 for 15 with five walks. He played nine innings at third base Tuesday.
