Nationals CF Bryce Harper (glute tightness) leaves game vs. Cardinals
Washington Nationals centerfielder Bryce Harper left Wednesday’s 4–3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium in the fourth inning with left glute tightness, the team announced.
Harper exited after popping out to second base to lead off the top of the fourth. He was 0 for 2 in the game after striking out in the first.
Ryan Zimmerman hit a solo home run, his first of two on the evening, in the next at-bat after Harper to give the Nationals a 2–1 lead. Matt den Dekker replaced Harper in the field the following frame.
In 125 games, Harper is batting .331 with 31 home runs, 78 RBIs and a 1.091 OPS.

The Nationals improved to 67–65, but still trail the New York Mets in the National League East by 6 1/2 games and are 8 1/2 games back in the wild card.
