New York Mets first baseman Lucas Duda is expected to rejoin the team on Monday after missing two weeks with a back injury, Binghamton Mets manager Pedro Lopez confirmed to Lynn Worthy of the Press & Sun-Bulletin

Duda played two rehab games in Binghamton this weekend, going 3 for 6 with three singles.

Duda was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Aug. 22 with a strain in his lower back

Duda, 29, is batting .247 this season and leads the Mets with a .346 on-base percentage and .472 slugging percentage. He batted .295 with seven home runs and 16 RBIs in his last 18 games before the injury.

The Mets have seven games left on their current road trip. They lead the Washington Nationals by four games in the NL East race.
