ATLANTA (AP) The Mets left slugger Yoenis Cespedes out of the starting lineup Sunday for just the second time since he was acquired from Detroit on July 31.

Cespedes had declined manager Terry Collins' offer for extra rest Saturday night, then changed his mind. Cespedes hit his eighth homer in 11 games and drove in two runs as the NL-East leading Mets beat Atlanta for their sixth straight win.

Cespedes was available to pinch hit against the Braves.
