Friday September 18th, 2015

The Los Angeles Dodgers have activated second baseman Howie Kendrick from the disabled list after he recovered from a strained left hamstring.

Kendrick, 32, missed 34 games after sustaining the injury and being placed on the disabled list on Aug. 10. Kendrick has sustained four hamstring injuries in his 10 years in the major leagues.

Kendrick could file for free agency following the season. In 105 games this season, Kendrick is batting .296 with nine home runs.

Kendrick can come off the bench for Friday’s night's game against the Pirates.
