Puig comes off DL to rejoin playoff-bound Dodgers

LOS ANGELES (AP) Yasiel Puig has rejoined the Los Angeles Dodgers after his second stint on the disabled list.

The outfielder was in the starting lineup for Saturday night's game against the San Diego Padres.

Puig returned to Los Angeles after playing two games in the Arizona instructional league as he rehabbed from a right hamstring strain.

Manager Don Mattingly says Puig won't start Sunday in the regular-season finale. He could enter the game as part of a double switch or come off the bench.

The Dodgers want to see what Puig can do before they establish their roster for the playoffs, which begin next Friday against the New York Mets.

Puig has been limited to 77 games this season because of injuries. He is hitting .256 with 38 RBIs and 11 home runs.
