Braves starting pitcher Shelby Miller earned his first victory since May on Saturday, tossing eight scoreless innings against the Cardinals.

He went 0–16 over 24 starts since May 17, when he shut out the Marlins in Miami.

Miller, who spent the last three season with the Cardinals, allowed only three hits while striking out seven.

The 24-year-old finished the season with a solid 3.02 ERA over 205 1/3 innings to go along with his unspectacular 6–17 record.

He was acquired in a trade with St. Louis in exchange for Jason Heyward, and is under contract until 2018.
