The MLB off-season is still in it’s infancy, but there’s already a litany of rumblings and rumors around the league about contract situations and upcoming forays into free agency.

Check out the latest MLB news and rumors below.

• MLB commissioner Rob Manfred will make a decision on whether to reinstate Pete Rose by the end of the year, reports Erik Boland of Newsday.

• The Chicago Cubs will meet with the representatives of free agent pitchers David Price, Zack Greinke and Jordan Zimmermann this week, reports Patrick Mooney of CSN Chicago.

• The New York Mets plan to pursue free-agent outfielder Alex Gordon this offseason, reports Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe.

• The St. Louis Cardinals announced that pitcher Lance Lynn underwent Tommy John surgery on Tuesday and will miss the 2016 season.

• Washington Nationals could make pitcher Stephen Strasburg available to a trade this offseason, reports Cafardo.

• The Baseball Writers Association of America released the 2016 Hall of Fame ballot with 15 newcomers.

• The MLB announced the 2015 Gold Glove winners during a live broadcast on ESPN2 on Wednesday night. The league also unveiled three finalists for each of the major awards for 2015, including MVP, Cy Young, Rookie of the Year and Manager of the Year.
