The Kansas City Royals have re-signed pitcher Chris Young to a two-year deal worth $11.5 million, reports Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star.

Young, who will turn 37 in May, pitched well for the Royals in 2015, posting an 11–6 record with a 3.06 ERA in 123.1 innings last season. He pitched in 34 games, 18 starts and 16 appearances out of the bullpen.

The deal is a steep price increase for the Royals, who paid Young just $675,000 in 2015.

The 11-year veteran is 76–58 with a 3.69 ERA over 1179 innings pitched during his career.
