• Miami Marlins president Michael Hill says the team will not trade starting pitcher Jose Fernandez, reports’s Joe Frisaro.

• The New York Mets have agreed to a two-year, $18.5 million deal with free agent infielder Asdrubal Cabrera, reports Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

• The Kansas City Royals signed reliever Joakim Soria to a three-year, $25 million deal, the team announced.
