Righthanded pitcher Adam Ottavino and the Colorado Rockies have agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $10.4 million, reports CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman.

Ottavino, 30, threw 10 1/3 innings for the Rockies in 2015 before undergoing season-ending Tommy John surgery in May. His recovery is going well and he is expected to be back in the middle of next summer, reports Heyman.

Ottavino was picked by the St. Louis Cardinals in the first round of the 2006 draft and made his MLB debut on May 29, 2010. Ottavino joined Colorado in 2012.

He has a career ERA of 3.88 and a 1.36 WHIP in 194 appearances.
