Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts says a May debut for pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu is “unrealistic,” reports the Los Angeles Times’ Andy McCullough.

Ryu, whose left shoulder surgery caused him to miss the entire 2015 season, has been ruled out for the remainder of the Dodgers’ Cactus League schedule.

In two MLB seasons, both with Los Angeles, Ryu accumulated a 28–15 record with 293 strikeouts and a 3.17 ERA.

Before his time in the Majors, the South Korea-native spent seven seasons in the Korea Baseball Organization. He became the first South Korean pitcher to start in a MLB game when he did so in 2013.
