The New York Yankees are worth $3.4 billion, according to an estimation by Forbes. The assesment makes the Yankees the most valuable team in baseball.
The Yankees have been on top of the list since its 1998 debut.
The New York team is worth an estimated $900 million more than the Los Angeles Dodgers, who currently sit in the No. 2 spot on the list at $2.5 billion.
The Boston Red Sox, the San Francisco Giants, and the Chicago Cubs complete the top five, while the Mets, Cardinals, Angels, Nationals and the Phillies round out the top ten.
According to Forbes’ estimations, the average major league baseball team is worth $1.2 billion.
