The Tampa Bay Rays’ flight from Havana following the team’s exhibition game with the Cuban national team was delayed for around six hours due to mechanical issues, reports Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times

The normally 55-min flight to Tampa instead took a total of seven hours, meaning the team didn't arrive at home until around 5 a.m.

The late arrival didn't seem to affect the team to much, as they were on the field to take on the Minnesota Twins later in the day.

Pitcher Chris Archer did offer a running commentary of the delay, tweeting about the food and shower situation, among other things.

The Rays defeated Cuba 4–1 and became the first Major League team to play in Cuba since 1999.
