Boston Red Sox star David Ortiz will pay himself in Mark Wahlberg's upcoming film Patriots Day, which tells the story of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings and the aftermath, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Ortiz is set to re-enact his famous speech where he declared “This is our f---ing city” on live television following the capture of convicted bomber Dzhokar Tsarnaev.

The filming is expected to take place at South Weymouth Naval Air Station SouthField as opposed to Fenway Park.

Ortiz will retire at the end of the season.

The film is aiming to open in Boston, New York and Los Angeles on Dec. 21 in order to qualify for the Academy Awards.

Jake Gyllenhaal is also filming a movie about the 2013 Boston Marathon titled Stronger. He threw out the first pitch at the Boston Red Sox game with bombing survivor Jeff Bauman, who lost both legs in the attacks, on April 18.
