Pirates activate LHP Luebke off DL; Schugel sent to Triple-A

CHICAGO (AP) The Pittsburgh Pirates have activated left-handed reliever Cory Luebke off the 15-day disabled list following a minor league rehab stint.

The Pirates on Sunday optioned right-hander A.J. Schugel to Triple-A Indianapolis to open a roster spot.

Luebke has an 8.10 ERA in three appearances with the Pirates after being signed in February. He was placed on the DL on April 14, then had a 2.92 ERA in seven appearances for Indianapolis.

Schugel was 0-1 with a 4.96 ERA in 11 games with the Pirates.
