TORONTO (AP) The Toronto Blue Jays recalled ambidextrous pitcher Pat Venditte and activated infielder Jimmy Paredes on Tuesday.

Right-hander Dustin Antolin and infielder Andy Burns were optioned to Triple-A Buffalo.

Venditte, a right-hander who can also pitch left-handed, appeared in five games for Toronto in April. He had no record and a 7.36 ERA.

Paredes was claimed off waivers from Baltimore on Monday. He can play second base, third base and both corner outfield positions. Paredes hit .309 with two homers and nine RBIs in 19 games at three minor league levels this season while rehabbing a left wrist injury suffered during spring training.

Antolin made his major league debut in Monday's 13-2 loss to Tampa Bay, allowing three runs and four hits in two innings.

Burns made his big league debut May 9 at San Francisco. He went hitless in five games with Toronto.
