MIAMI (AP) The Miami Marlins have decided not to sign left-handed reliever Joe Beimel, who was on the verge of a contract with the team last week pending a physical.

Beimel, 39, has pitched in 676 games and spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons with the Seattle Mariners. Last year he had a 3.99 ERA in 47 1/3 innings.
