Brewers pitcher Chase Anderson had a no-hitter through seven innings vs. Cubs, but it was broken up in the eighth.
Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Chase Anderson took a no-hitter into the eighth against the Cubs before Ben Zobrist broke it up with a no-out double.
Anderson threw six strikeouts and issued one walk through his first seven innings. The pitcher entered the game 1–5 with a 5.23 ERA in eight starts this season, having not won a decision since April 8.
The Brewers won 4–2 thanks to a Jonathan Lucroy home run and a three-run sixth inning.
