During Wednesday night’s game against the Washington Nationals at Citi Field, New York Mets centerfielder Juan Lagares made a catch that drew comparisons to Willie Mays’s famous catch.
Lagares caught the second out of the seventh inning after running down a fly ball from former Met Daniel Murphy.

Mays’s notable catch was during the 1954 World Series.
