Marlins second baseman Derek Dietrich was struck by a ball while in the dugout and lifted from Sunday’s 7–3 win over the Braves.
During the ninth inning, Dietrich was hit near the head by a sharp grounder off the bat of Christian Yelich that entered the dugout and deflected off the wall. He fell to the ground, and lay face-down for a few minutes.
He eventually got up on his feet, went into the clubhouse and was replaced the following half-inning.
Yelich's foul ball entered dugout, struck back of wall, and caromed into the back of Dietrich's head. Dazed, but able to walk. #Marlins
