Astros second baseman Jose Altuve probably would have hit for the cycle on Saturday if he didn’t trip and fall rounding second base in the sixth inning.

With a single, double and home run on the evening, Altuve ripped an 0–2 offering from Royals reliever Chien-Ming Wang into the left-centerfield gap and looked destined for three bases. As he went for third, he fell straight on his face, and crawled back to the base, smiling.

He received a pat on the back from Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer, and was laughed at by his teammates.

Altuve was pinch-hit for in the ninth, and finished 4-for-5 with three RBIs and three runs scored. He did not complete the cycle.
