Cubs star Kris Bryant had a monster game on Monday against the Reds.
Bryant went 5 for 5, with three home runs, two doubles, six RBIs and four runs scored. According to Baseball Reference, he is the only player in MLB history with two or more doubles and three or more homers in the same game. His 16 total bases were a Cubs single-game record.
Bryant and the Cubs hammered the Reds for 11 runs on their way to an 11–8 victory.
Bryant opened the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning and added a solo homer in the third, giving the Cubs a one-run lead. His second homer was a two-run shot in the fourth inning. In the eighth inning he gave the Cubs an insurance run with a solo home run off Ross Ohlendorf.

Bryant now has 21 home runs this season, after hitting 26 as a rookie last year.
