Athletics agree to deal with 2nd round pick Logan Shore

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) The Oakland Athletics have agreed to a contract with second-round draft pick Logan Shore that will pay the right-hander a $1.5 million signing bonus.

The deal announced Friday is $148,200 above the slot value assigned to the 47th pick.

Shore was named the top pitcher in the SEC this season after going 12-1 with a 2.31 ERA in 18 starts with Florida. He had 96 strikeouts and just 19 walks in 105 1-3 innings.

The A's also agreed to deals with 15th-round pick Ty Damron, a lefty out of Texas Tech, and 32nd rounder Collin Theroux, a catcher from Oklahoma State.

The A's have agreed to terms with 34 of their 41 draft picks, including their first 20.
