CINCINNATI (AP) The Milwaukee Brewers recalled right-hander Zach Davies from Triple-A Colorado Springs to start Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Reds.

Davies takes the roster spot left open when infielder Yadiel Rivera was optioned to Colorado Springs after Saturday's game.

Davies was 6-4 with a 4.10 ERA in 15 starts for Milwaukee before being optioned to Colorado Springs on July 5 to make room on the roster for a hitter before the All-Star break. He didn't pitch for Colorado Springs.
