Strike Zone podcast: Didi Gregorius; talking Yankees and Chris Sale

On this week's edition of The Strike Zone podcast, Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius calls in to discuss his season, and Ted and Steve make some trade deadline talk.

It's all trade deadline talk on this week's edition of The Strike Zone podcast, featuring a special guest with a unique perspective on one team's stance before Aug. 1

This week, Ted Keith and Stephen Cannella welcome Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius to the show to talk all things pinstriped. Gregorius discusses his strong season in the Bronx, the team's mood and mindset ahead of the trade deadline, and the reaction to the deal that sent closer Aroldis Chapman to the Cubs. Gregorius also talks about replacing Derek Jeter at shortstop for the Yankees and building his own legacy in New York, as well as his new partnership with Delta Air Lines' "Delta Dugout" program.

That's not all, though. Ted and Steve also talk trade with the deadline just a few days away. First, they tackle the Chapman deal and whether the Yankees should keep selling off assets or try to buy their way back into contention on the heels of a strong start to the second half. After that, they discuss the bizarre Chris Sale incident, and whether his clubhouse meltdown should lead the White Sox to try to trade their ace—and what his trade value would be on the market.
