Yasiel Puig did not travel with the Dodgers for their series against the Rockies in Colorado, Fox Sports’s Ken Rosenthal reports.

Rosenthal initially reported that the 25-year-old outfielder “stormed off” when the team informed him he would be traded or sent to the minors. Yahoo’s Tim Brown reports, however, that Puig was told not to report to the ballpark or to the plane. Rosenthal later said that the team said his initial report was inaccurate.

The Dodgers acquired outfielder Josh Reddick on Monday but Puig was not traded before the 4 p.m. ET non-waiver deadline. Puig’s agent told Rosenthal that he is expected to be optioned to the minor leagues on Tuesday.

After batting .319 and finishing second in Rookie of the Year voting in 2013, Puig has regressed offensively. He is batting .260 with a .706 OPS in 81 games this season.

Puig is owed $8.2 million next season and $9.2 million in 2018. The Dodgers could still trade him if he clears waivers.
