Boston Red Sox first baseman Hanley Ramirez underwent X-rays on his left wrist on Tuesday night after falling down the stairs in the visitors clubhouse at Safeco Field, according to ESPN’s Scott Lauber.

Red Sox manager John Farrell said Ramirez jammed his wrist when he braced himself against his fall, and that the X-rays were a precautionary measure.

Farrell said an update on Ramirez’s condition would be provided on Wednesday.

Ramirez went 2 for 4 with a home run in the 5–4 loss to the Mariners on Tuesday, bringing his home run total for the season to 14. His six home runs over the past 13 games earned him American League player of the week last week.

The Red Sox will continue their four-game series against Seattle at 10:10 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
