Watch: Katie Ledecky throws out first pitch at Nationals game

Olympic star Katie Ledecky made a victory stop at Nationals Park on Wednesday night, tossing out the ceremonial first pitch ahead of Washington’s game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Ledecky, a native of Bethesda, Md., took in the meeting between the two local teams wearing a Nationals hat (sorry, Orioles). She’s a noted Nats fan, and apparently players were curious to see how much her medals weighed.
Dusty Baker left his office early to say hello.

And Bryce Harper held her medals when she threw, which is probably wise so as to avoid neck injury.

Ledecky later joined the Nationals broadcast to talk about her success at the Olympics, and Harper later posted an Instagram photo of the meeting.
Ledecky swam to four gold medals and a silver in women’s freestyle events in Rio. She is almost definitely the best athlete at the ballpark.
Also, of course, she’s just 19. We’ll see her in Tokyo in four years, presumably, an Olympics that will once again feature baseball.
