Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig made a ridiculous diving catch in the seventh inning of Los Angeles’s game against the Marlins on Saturday night, preserving a perfect game.

With two outs in the inning, Martin Prado drove a ball deep to leftfield. Puig ranged back, slightly to his left, and fully extended to haul the ball in.

Rich Hill was aiming for the 24th perfect game in major-league history, and the second by a Dodgers pitcher until he was pulled after seven. He had made 89 pitches and struck out nine. Joe Blanton came on in the eighth and gave up a hit.

The last perfect game was thrown on Aug. 15, 2012 by Mariners ace Felix Hernandez. Sandy Koufax still owns the only perfect game in franchise history, throwing one on Sept. 9, 1965.
